POSITION DETAILS:
Math Interventionist
REQUIRED CRITERIA:
- NJ Teaching Certificate, Teacher of Mathematics (5-8 or K-12)
- Experience in teaching standards-based math instruction
- Knowledge of research-based interventions to support striving students in mathematical understanding with a focus on number sense.
- Experience in developing and implementing differentiated instructional activities in math.
- Knowledge of and experience in providing targeted math instruction to support students in need of math intervention and support teachers in delivering interventions.
- Knowledge of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards for Math
- Knowledge of coaching strategies to support/coach teacher
- Exemplary academic credentials and professional references
- Experience with interpreting achievement data relevant to the NJSLA and local common assessments
PREFERRED CRITERIA:
- Experience leading PLCs centered around data analysis.
- Evidence of continued professional growth in math
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, organizational, and communication (written and oral) skills
- Computer skills including proficiency with Google applications.
- Knowledge of MTSS (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support)
