POSITION DETAILS:
Math Interventionist

REQUIRED CRITERIA:

  • NJ Teaching Certificate, Teacher of Mathematics (5-8 or K-12)
  • Experience in teaching standards-based math instruction
  • Knowledge of research-based interventions to support striving students in mathematical understanding with a focus on number sense.
  • Experience in developing and implementing differentiated instructional activities in math.
  • Knowledge of and experience in providing targeted math instruction to support students in need of math intervention and support teachers in delivering interventions.
  • Knowledge of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards for Math
  • Knowledge of coaching strategies to support/coach teacher
  • Exemplary academic credentials and professional references
  • Experience with interpreting achievement data relevant to the NJSLA and local common assessments

PREFERRED CRITERIA:

  • Experience leading PLCs centered around data analysis.
  • Evidence of continued professional growth in math
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, organizational, and communication (written and oral) skills
  • Computer skills including proficiency with Google applications.
  • Knowledge of MTSS (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support)
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
