This position is responsible for planning and implementing all resident activities.
Duties include creating a monthly calendar, conducting a full range of therapeutic activities with our residents, supervising an Activities Aide, and taking residents on outings.

Experience as an Activities Coordinator in an Assisted Living or Skilled nursing facility and NCCAP certification are required.

EOE Adapting activities for optimal participation Maintain a balance of recreational activities Post a monthly schedule of activities Coordinate scheduled activities with other departments Develop work assignments for all activities personnel Assure residents are assisted to activities Coordinate all training activities for employees in department Direct and/or conduct all planned activities Publish a monthly activities calendar and newsletter Promote participation in all social activities by all residents Support all aspects of the activities and recreation functions Utilize volunteers effectively to enhance the activities program Organizing any community engagement events and activities Manage own time, activities and resources Coordinate and integrate the activities program with other services Organize, direct and facilitate program of activities Coordinate the transport of residents to and from the activities Prepare monthly bulletin board indicating future activities, holiday themes, or picture review of past activities Ensure a log of activities and one-to-one visits Conduct group activities in order to engage residents in meaningful activities, which help to enhance feelings of self-esteem Recommended Skills Adaptability Assisted Living Community Management Recreation Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
